A long walk with my MP3 player turned up loud, followed by a hot bath with lavender in the burner.

When it seems that every job is a rush...
Crank up some Pat Travers music and play air guitar.

When I screw something up...
Sing "If I Only Had A Brain" to myself.

For everything else...
Play drums really loud!!!

Atrip to Mexico (our favorite Island every 3 to 4 months a year keeps me from mortally wounding my customers in between.

My pets are effective stress relievers.
Nothing beats relaxing on the couch, with the sound of a purring cat buzzin' away by your side, and a snoozing dog at your feet.

It's therapeutic.

Exercise! I take that stress and focus it into lifting weights or racking up some FAST miles on inline skates. Riding the jetski seems to work fine as well, plus the fact that getting near the water pulls that stress energy right out.

Go camping! There is nothing stressful about grabbing a good book and reading in the sunshine while cody plays with the entire neighbourhood of kids nearby. Or going for a walk on the beach. Or a nice scenic bikeride. Or sitting around a campfire. Or finding a new spot for a picnic.

But at home, I resort to gardening, long walks, playing online, painting, or watching a good movie.

Well if I'm a little stressed and need to shoot off a little steam its out to the barn I go.

This cannon has been to a few Letterhead meets, I built it from the hydraulic line of a locomotive. Luckily we live out in the country and I know the Sheriff, so when the calls come in, they know its
"The Colonel" relieving a little stress.

Not quite Dick's cannon, but shooting trap or Skeet works for me!

For me, nothing melts off stress better than going up in my plane and boring holes in the sky.

Best relief I've found is to avoid it whenever possible. That may require some experience and some effort at the front end.

For instance I had to plan seriously how to avoid driving in traffic. The word "road rage" was first printed in 1984, so now we've had it for nearly a quarter-century. I shouldn't say "we," because I know when to retreat.

There is also a time to attack. "They" say you can't fight city hall, or spam, or fraud, or crime or whatever. Well, you sure can't if you roll over and play dead. One must understand the predator instinct, which is to go after the slowest and weakest. When there's plenty prey, the ones who fight back aren't worth the trouble. Somehow, it seems, they learn to leave you alone.

Much, maybe most of what's called "stress" is purely artificial, manufactured. How many decades have we heard about "Xmas shopping rush" and "holidays stress?" Like I'm gonna run over your ass in the mall parking lot in the name of gift-giving and charity? That's perverse. Ask and receive; refuse and it's gone.

Hey Skip, cool video... I used to relieve stress by racing, but going around in circles instead.... just about bought a 750cc Mini-Sprint last year, but it didn't work out..

So.. for now I just fly R/C airplanes about every other evening, go kiteboarding at the beach on the weekends (or veg like Sue if there's no wind), and try to do some real flying now and then in between.....
