Just scooped up a big bowl of jell-o for my son Sam, and was thinking, man this stuff has been around for along time.

Every so often I will look at food products that have'nt been changed in years (Recipe that is)there are a few that have been out there along time..

See I can post a non-sign related topic.

Can you use Jello for glass gilding? Lemon for short term, Orange for permanent.

We'll make this sign related somehow. [Smile]

On the food line my wife Kim hates it when I go grocery shopping with her.

She is up and down the isles back and forth and will come back and say what are you waiting for?

Nothin just studing all these labels and box designs, hey I did'nt think that purple would go with that green but look they pulled it off pretty nice huh?

She now tries to go alone...

I was told once years ago by the first sign man I had ever talked to.

"Don't go into graphic arts to go to some big company and think your going to make it big,
they will give you about three good years and then work you out".

I asked why and he said "think about it, the styles you like may not be what the younger generation wants, and to get designs to get there attention well you need someone that thinks on ther level.

To a point it is true just look at the change in pop cans. Talk about graphics change, some of those designs are pretty cool compared to the way they were years back.

For those that don't already know how gelatin is made...

You may never eat it again. [Smile]

I must like labels too, I did a mock-up of one when I was teaching myself Corel two years ago:

I also like Jello, as did my dad. But my nieces are mostly vegetarians and they won't eat it!
You can't go to a picnic or church supper in PA without having a Jello salad of some sort.
It's ingrained in our culture.
Love....Jill
