I have a request from local arena to produce logos under the ice. Customer does not want logos painted on boards under the ice. Vinyl on the board directly is not an option.

They want a material that can be suspended in the ice and be reused for several years.

Any help on material and process for graphics would be great help....

Do a search...I asked this last year or the year before.
(of course I never got the job)
Someone posted a good link for a site that you can buy these things pre-fabbed.
I think you can also buy stencils and use a certain kind of paint.
Love....Jill

Hi Mike,
Here is a link to my asking the same question, imbedded in the discussion is a link to Jill's asking the question before that, which has a link to Lottie asking the question before that..... [Razz] As far as I know none of us ended up with anything other than paint .

I know this customer is talking about a material that is perforated. The graphic is suspended just under the surface. If the material is not perforated or porous the ice will break out above it. It's a new process that the customer has seen. Just tryin to figure it out.

I will check out the links....Thanks

I've been working on quoting a job myself for the local curling rink. I've called around to other rinks and several places are having the images printed on tyvek material. I've been told the material will not wrinkle and will hold up under the ice. However, no one has been able to confirm whether or not this image is re-usable once the ice has been removed at end of season.
I have not done it yet, so I can't say for sure!
