Great Meet Karyn, thanks so much! I still have tired cheeks from laughing so much! Glad to see you made it home safe and sound Deri!

what a fun time, Karyn, Bobby & Nancy all did a great job.... AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!! Some hightlights for me were:
Seeeing Karyn's shop, seeing Dale Manor work on 2' x 2' panels instead of 30' x 70' walls, watching 24 yo Teddy Kiley jam on a panel with Bill Ridel, thats awesome, drinking beers with the cute chicks from Canadia, staying up til 2 am yappin' with Dale, Ted, Bob Rochon, Kimmy and Jessie at the Letterhead chalet.

Mark, I don't usually do portraits, but i think I nailed that one, Karyn held it up next to here face, the resemblance was uncanny.

Thanks again Karyn, Bobby & Nancy
Thanks to the Peaches and Rapid for my first of what I am sure will be a series of PB&J panels

It was a great weekend all the way around....excellent food, great place to stay and an incredible place to have a meet! Thanks to Bobby and Nancy and Karyn for having this great little get-together.

Thanks to Kimmy and Ken and yer little dog tooo, for setting up a place for us to stay at and for all the great eats and company....sorry I couldn't help moire in the kitchen, I had to stay clear of "the zone".

I'm still trying to un-cross my eyes from all those tiny little panel things you guys work on!

WOW! Check out that work! Boy, this is one I wished I could have been at, too!

Karyn, someday I am gonna make it to one of your meets!!!!!

How did you do the one on the wood? Sandblasted? I find boards like that up at lake Erie along the shore! What kind of wood IS it? Just scrapwood you found, or what?

And that flaming moose! Ray, that is awesome! All the work looks great!

Posted by Brenda Daley (Beaupit) (Member # 37) on :

Hey Bobbie,
Rodger McMunn blasted and painted that sign for Karyn. He does some great artwork with "found" wood.

Karyn, maybe you can put it on velcro so its easy to put up on those certain days, so Jim knows when its that time of the month, oh and btw... the moose jam is just hot fudge sauce, so don't be afraid to use it, in case of a chocolate emergency!

Wish we could have been with you all? I'm sure Brenda and Derri did a great job representing us Canucks. Talk about SignBabes!

BTW? Quarters or clockfaces?

[Smile]

Posted by Brenda Daley (Beaupit) (Member # 37) on :

Hey Steve....we represented well!
We were not the cutist....Dolly the dog won that....we were not the most talented as Bill Riedel was there..haha...we were not the funniest as Rodger and Ken took that one hands down...we were not the most dedicated painters as I don't think we actually held a brush....however, I think we represented how Canadian girls can drink and still be standing at 1:00 am and holding a conversation! [Smile] .....at least I think Bob was impressed...or perhaps scared! [Smile]

I don't know.... drunk Deri, cuddling my little dog in 1 hand and trying to work the confounded laptop thingie with the other, was pretty cute and funny!
If its aboot drinking beer and giggling all day and night, I think you 2 represented Canadia perfectly, eh?

Posted by Deri Russell (Member # 119) on :

OK Don't think I like to be known as Deri "cute sign chick who drinks" I think I prefer "Deri, Designing Force" [Rolling On The Floor] [Rolling On The Floor]

....aaahhhh, sometimes I crack myself up.
