Yesterday it was almost 100 as was in days before, today will be 85, tomorrow 75 and the following day around 70 here in Grants Pass Oregon. The temperatures will drop into the 60's in one week bringing a chance of rain for the first time in almost 4 months, hows that for weather change coming into fall, happens like this every year. All summer it was way too hot to do almost any outdoor work and putting off stuff was an occurrence which had to be for this ol'dude and now I got less then 1 week to get everything together before the temperature falls even further and the clouds become the norm as the sun disappears for the winter. The crazy thing is that the temperture could change even in December to a couple of days of in the 80's and all these changes without one day of snow. Theres a lighted sign crossing over 6th street in downtown which states " Its The Climate "

Whats it like in your world?

So whats the weather change like in your world

Sounds a lot like Memphis. We have HOT summers, upper 90's/lower 100's from late June up through September. Most of the time, the seasons change rapidly...A/C running one day, the heater the next. Fall, as most folks know it is virtually non-existant, maybe a week or two of comfortable temps. Then it goes into the gloomy/gray skies/rainy season, temps aren't too bad. Winter seems to come in February, seldom snows but we get a good bit of the ice storms...oh yea, and the tornados.
I've learned to adjust to the hot temps pretty well, if it gets below freezing, and it does quite often, I'm uncomfortable. I'm no longer twelve and I could care less about snow.

I don't know if there is a perfect climate in which to live and I'm sure if there is it's unaffordable [I Don t Know]

It's going to be only 105 today, a nice pleasant day, unseasonably cool as it's usually still 110 this time of year with the 100-105's not coming til early October. By mid October it usually cools off into the 90's but we've already had a couple cool 98 degree days the past week.

The thunderstorms have come late this year. Last night we had a wicked windstorm blow through and it sucked the shingles right off the roof.

Wow, and I thought Mississippi was bad. Here in Maryland the temps were in the mid 90's last week, but they have dropped off to the high 70's. Next thing we know, there will be snow, and complaining how its cold, and we wish it was hot again.

That cheeseburger would have cooked on our sidewalks all summer. Right now, it's 83. Nice!

Lets get something straight here Joe, you live in southern Alabama which is about 835 miles north of Jimmy Buffets Paradise and although Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant and bars are located all over the states, there aren't any in Pensacola [Rolling On The Floor]

In Southwestern Ontario it was in the 90-95's six weeks ago. Last few days it has been in the mid 60's. Today it hit 70. Weekend is forcast to be in the 80's. In another six weeks (or less) we will probably be seeing the first snowflakes.

Not too worried, variety is nice.

Not too worried because, on Dec 28 we escape winter once again. No Cheesburgers, just paradise. It will never go below 65-70 at night and daytime highs will usually be 80-95 with no humidity.

Total perfection!!!

Just about the same thing here as Karyn, but it takes a little longer for the warm part of the day to start. Living along the river has fog that takes all morning to burn off.

Sweatshirts in the morning, tshirts in the afternoon.

Hey, Rapid!!! *hugs*

I have North Haverhill, NH as well as Lakeland FL, (sisters) on my Yahoo home page. I had to laugh...we, in ATL, were within 5 degrees of you today, highs and lows. There's NO SENSE to Georgia weather. If you *blink*...it's something else.

Hey, Rapid. I found this 'most amazing cherished thing' in the back of the house, as I've been cleaning away the things left over from the "Shed Removal". It's your A/Brush compressor. Geesh! I guess I 'hid' it so well, even YOU didn't find it. *sigh* And you didn't mention you missed the Lil' One...Dang!!

Do you want me to UPS it to you or get with you at Dixie? Either is fine with me.

Please let me know!!

My best to you and Yours, always!
