Hello everyone. My name is Carol, I am Tom's wife. We have been working on designing a new logo for our business and would like comments please. I like the overall design, but am not quite happy with the fonts.. I think they should be more fancy/bold/make a statement.
Any help/comments are greatly appreciated !!

How about something like this. I really like the artwork and felt the fonts should reflect that feeling...losse and informal.
my 2 cents... Rapid

Nice start Carol, nice fix Ray.
I was going to suggest a logo that was not as "long" as yours was. Ray's fixed that problem too.

Hi Ray and Gene,
I received my own login and password, so now I'm officially here... :-)
Ray, which font did you use? I like the bottom, but I'm not so sure about the top... I was thinking of integrating the two fonts together and just play with it a little bit.

FYI here's a post from Barb on editing images for posting. Some people won't participate in your topic if they have to scroll back and forth to read and see your pic.

Carol,
I hope you won't be offended. But to be honest, as far as a "logo" goes I really don't like it. It looks more like a sign than a logo. Before you go much further, I strongly recommend reading Dan Antonelli's book, Logo Design for Small Business.
I think you'll find it useful in helping you develop a much more effective logo.
Best Wishes.

Welcome to Letterville, Carol.
The top font is Wade Grotesque and the bottom is Sofia Script. Both are available at Letterheadfonts.com
The amperstand is from ABCDesign, a CD collection you can get when you order Signgold.
