To all those interested,

The Australian and New Zealand Letterhead Meets are well into program completion.

The New Zealand Meet is to be held on 7/8/9 October in Napier, New Zealand and promises to be an excellent meet. Contact Murray Willson

The Australian meet, the following week end, 13/14/15 October is shaping up well with the whole town of Burrawang in the Southern Highlands, 1 1/2 hours south of Sydney, intending to pick up the cost of accommodation and meals for all the attendees Be sure to register early to benefit from this offer.

Contact Bob Harper or myself,

John

Can't Travel that far John but it was nice to meet you again while in Jacksonville.

This is retirement folks, John just pops up everywhere, travelling from meet to meet and showing his knowledge.
A nice grumpy young old man who has dozens of tricks up his sleeve.

pleasure to see you again John.

Got the OK today from Sue to attend the Oz Meet, and the dates marked in my Diary.

I'll probably hook up with Ian to share the fuel costs of getting there. Maybe Sarge too. More the merrier!

When are the details and regeo forms coming out?

My #1 dream is a trip to NZ and Australia. It almost happened last year, but family and health probs ruined the day. I still don't know exactly how but we are going to be at these meets come October.

Anyone looking for a nice 89 Chev Camper? How about a Yamaha scooter? A treadmill? Slightly used children? [Smile]

There's a ride for you and Barb to and from Queensland and the Meet. Or just one way if you fly into Sydney after the NZ Meet.

Its about a 12 hour drive but an interesting one. We miss most of the wide open inland stuff.

You must stay with us, and Gail & Devo, if you make it this far.

Hope you make it!

[Group Hug]

PS: Sorry we missed you last weekend Sarge. Birthday "Party" didn't finish until nearly 4pm and we wanted to get home before dark.

OK you World travellers. Share some of your secrets with us.

We've started looking into airfare to New Zealand. The best deal we have found so far is $2600 each return. That's $5,200. I'm pretty sure there are all sorts of taxes on top of that. There's also a one way flight from NZ to Australia. John can help us out on that info. He'll be taking the same flight.

Are there better airfares available? Where should we be looking?

Jon. You and Sue have made the trip up this way. Email us some info on what the real cost of a trip like this is.

Over the years, we have made many friends on the Internet. Australia played a major role in the early success of Letterville. It's a huge Country, so this Letterhead meet is a great chance to meet the most people in the time available.

I've told many of you about PalTalk and my interest in online Karaoke. Over the last year and a half, I have formed a very warm relationship with a group of around 50 Maori in NZ. The Maori are the native people of NZ. Many live in the Napier area.

We'd like to fly into Auckland 2-3 weeks before the NZ meet, spend sometime with our friends, and then attend the NZ Meet. I'm hoping to a Workshop there on layout. Stuff Mike Stevens, Ken Millar and others taught.

After that meet is over, we would fly back to Sydney with John and attend the Oz meet the following weekend. If Jon is at that meet, we'd like to catch a ride back to Toowoomba with him. He'll be surprised to know that I have a longtime online pal that lives a few blocks away from him.

There's so many people we would like to visit, but Gail and Devo are a must see. A few years back, they spend a few days with us here in Fergus. Gail has many of the same health probs as myself. There's no way we can come to Oz and not see them. I'd like to spend 2-3 weeks in Oz.

Questions?

Can we fly home out of Melbourne?
What's a cheap rental car cost?
What's a cheap hotel cost?
Can we get a decent coffee without a Tim Hortons?
How the heck do you guys pay for all this? Remortgage? hahahahahaha
