What was your first reaction to this promotional gem? I was to paint this for the side of the highway. Basically I thought it wasn't that bad. Read: Male
Every woman who saw the design, and I mean every woman thought it was at best tacky and at worse really offensive.
I initally thought it was hilarious that people could morph the slogan into the mostly crass. I was sure that anyone who was really offended was either prudish or actually the one with the dirty mind.
Lesson learned: Women are the majority.
It now reads Drive in. Save. Drive out.
Thanks to Laurie of Same Day Signs who thought up the sensitive fix which was done in the field.
Would the same thing have happened elsewhere?

...If the word "SCORE" is offensive to women, It seems like they are looking for something to get uptight about.

It doesn't seem offensive to me. People use that term all the time around here when "scoring" a good deal. I would have never made a tacky or crass connection had it not been pointed out.

Jeez. Who knows what's gonna offend some neurotics? Oh well, if you want their money, you have to coddle them. I think you did the right thing.

I agree with Tracie. I immediately thought "score a good deal".
