I only get them about twice a year....and if I take a couple aspirin as I first notice the visual symptoms....it will usually knock them out. I'm one of the lucky ones from what I hear.
Anyway, I know there are some people here who suffer pretty bad bouts of migraine...and I came across this article this morning regarding some new research and treatment that is on the horizon.
Thought some might like to keep up on what's new in migraine treatments.
I suffered for many years and only in the last few years discovered Norgesic. Prescription only, but it worked like a charm for me. It was the only thing that enabled me to continue working. All other pills did nothing. The best news is that when you get old, they go away.

I've had them on and off since high school but lately (last couple years) I noticed when I'm not busy or I'm under a lot of stress I get 'em. When I have a busy schedule, basically I don't have time for migraines. Haven't had one in 6 months.
I've found drinking lots of water and sometimes a BM will help stop one from coming on. I've tried not to take any heavy meds for them but my mom has used injections, nasal mist, and pills.
My mom gets them BAD! Seems all the females on my moms side got them at one time or another.
