Just as a note - most all of you understand that Dan and I have been jabbing, counter-punching and sparring for the last few months about our team's murals. I know a few people think one or both of us are a$$es.
It was all theater, folks. Not real or even a hint of reality. Dan and I have worked together before - and his spirit and energy feed me - and I hope my energy benefits him also. Twin sons of differtent mothers as they say. Always pushing the envelope.
This little theatrical production has been a veiled attempt to get more people interested in the meet, involved in it - and coming to Lodi. We are very good friends, we respect each other greatly - and we look forward to working with all of you - on whatever wall you choose - next week/weekend.
It will be a pleasure reconnecting with old friends - and meeting new ones. This is all about fun - and we hope we haven't hurt opinions of either of us for our playful banter over these few months. Thankfully, a lot of other people played along. (Like that damn Ray Chapman!!)
It was all in fun - if you didn't already know that.
Right, Dan-o?

The fun is just beginning Jay... wait until Lodi. Jay and I have worked on a mural project before... and had LOTS of fun doing it. I didn't even paint over the part he did after he was gone.
I'm looking forward to Lodi!!!!

One thing I know about Dan. If he likes you a lot, he'll tease and bug you to death. Spouses too are not exempt. (Picture Dan chasing Laurie around a rolling scaffold in the middle of the street.... with Kelly at the top encouraging him.) Man he must have high regard for Jay and Ray.... but you can call me RayJay.

Yeah, sure, Jay....we all know what a trouble maker you are!! That mayor in Lodi better lock up his golfcart...

You said that, Jay...not me.
Trying to make up now, huh, Jay? I think you had better sleep with one eye open. You know that Sawatzky never goes to bed, don't you?

when you wanted to hitch your wagon over the passes and thru the desert to Head West, it's always best to hook up a few a$$es....

Ray, - don't I know it!! I think I've seen Dan sleeping like most horses - on his feet.
I'd rather work like that than to go at a slower pace. It works for me like it works for him. Rust never sleeps - and by God, I'm not going to get rusty!! It's not for everyone - but it works for me. And Dan also.
I can sleep when I die.
We'll miss you Ray. But you're doing a wonderful thing.

Rather than Jekyll and Hyde, this Lodi thing has more of a Heckle and Jive personality.
