Am wondering if I could send a file to someone and have them help me get it ready to cut and/or possibly explain how they did/do it? It should be simple for someone who knows what they are doing, which I obviously don't, yet. It's just our racecar number with a flame coming out from behind it. I can not figure out how in the world to get the orange in the flame to cut around the number???!@#** I've tried compounding, masking, etc....I have no idea. Still haven't figured this part of it out, yet. Am working with FlexiPro 7.6v1. I've cut one by hand just to see how it would look, but have several to make for pit crew, ect. so really need some help here. If someone is willing to help-let me know what file format to send it in. Thanks!

Jason fixed me up to cut it...but I'm still not sure on how to do this in the future myself. Do either of you other guys use Flexi? Basically, I need to know how to weld, I guess, two or more things together so they don't overlap when put together. I just pulled out my book again for some more studying...things have just been too hectic around here (two kids in soccer, 1 in horse riding lessons, racing on Saturdays, and my wonderful irresponsible brother dropped his 4 year old boy on me recently who is now in my custody and his 5 year old girl with my mom-so there went my sitter, and everybody wants everything yesterday!), but I guess it's time to hit the books. Thanks everybody! Might need some help on an upcoming job with LOTS of layers if I can't get this figured out by then.

Beth,

I'm using 7.5v5, but it is most likely the same. It's pretty simple to do; just go to Effects > Combine > Weld.

Hope that works for you.

Beth

No offense, but I am a recovering Flexi user [Rolling On The Floor] All Gerber / Illustrator here. Let me know if I can help in the future. [Smile]
