I know I read this in here just recently, but in my infinite wisdom I didn't write it down and now I can't find it. Several of you use someone that re-sharpens plotter blades. Who might that be and I promise I'll write it down.

Bob, you may want to have a look at this site.http://www.cleancutblade.com/ Ross manufactures blades better than the originals and they are very fairly priced. I just can't seem to wear them out.

So..... is a chimpanzee, up to his elbows in clay, a HAIRY POTTER?
Thanks for the link David, I'll check them out too.

good votes for both outfits... I prefer the new blades.. because you plug em in and go... no need to fool around with new pressures

Bob,
I've managed to sharpen a blade or two in times of dire need with a small whetstone, but one slip and it's junk. For the risk and the time involved, new is better.

Hold on you guys! For the past week I've been practising my selling skills on Paul at Bits N Bits. He's watching the last post to see if we can sell him on Letterville. It looks like there is definitly a market here. Do us a favor and add to our Top 10 Reasons to be a Letterville Merchant. Here's the link.
In the meantime, we'll contact the folks David recommends.

No..... It's settled.... I'm sending all my blades to Ray.
I've had to do that too, Ray. An Arkansas oil stone and a jeweler's magnifier got me by.

I've been using resharpened blades since 1990, my sprint came with a little plastic disk for blade depth adjustment. Still use it, I'll have to give bits and bits a try on the summa blades. Bill

I have used Bits & Bits alot. They do a great job. I just can't tell when a blade is no longer resharpenable.

Thanks guys, I went and checked, nope my plotter's not harry So I guess I have to use one of the other guys. The only thing we plot on here is rubylith film for positives, easy to cut but must be sharp so I thought before I throw them away I'd give sharpening a try.
I'll check these guys out.
