I have access to Trajan in Photoshop and Illustrator but not in Corel- how come? Thanks- Cat

Gremlins... they give me access to other fonts in similar programs but not in others too.
Maybe it's something about where Trajan is stored, or if it's a True type, or a Type 3 font?
Hopefully someone else will help you with a real answer, I just put up with the lunacy or change fonts!

Cat...I needed Trajan (I only had it on my Windows Office CD) for a project a couple of months ago. There was no way I could install it using the Windows font installer in XP so I installed Adobe Type Manager that I had bought to use with Win 2000. ATM found Trajan and installed it fine and it is available to me in CorelDraw.

This has happened to me before -- I don't know why, but as a solution (in your case) I would create your type in Illustrator and convert it to curves and import that into Corel...that way you are simply importing curves and won't need the font available to Corel.

Hiya Cat, It may depend on the version of Corel, your operating system and the font. My best guess is that the font you have is Type1 which works with Adobe programs. If I recall correctly, older versions of Corel did not support Adobe's type 1 fonts. You needed the Adobe Type Manager to make them work in Corel. Windos XP and Corel 12 now support True Type (TTF), Type 1 (pfb, pfm) and Open Type (otf) without the help of external applications.
