I might have to paint a multi colored logo on some vinyl-like material. I have both black and white multi purpose screening ink. I'm wondering if I can paint a base layer of the two mixed (gray), let dry, then paint one shot over it.
Seems like it would work, but it's best to check if anyone else has tried the 'stupid pet tricks' first.
I have enamel coat, which would promote adhesion over the entire surface, but it also promotes adhesion of gray-grime, that or turns color itself.( need barf smiley)

What exactly is vinyl-like? You could try Krylon Fusion as a primer. I've used Vinyl ink thinned down, as a primer. Very stinky. It works but it's always best to try a section first. I question the multi-purpose ink. Is that a uv cure type or an enamel base or an exotic solvent type like coroplast ink? Matching paint to surfaces is always tricky. The primer will be the key. Automotive paint stores have good solutions to these problems, ex. they have a primer for abs plastic bumpers. Good luck.

James I have successfully used Naz-Dar VF series screen ink as a base and then applied One Shot on top of that. This had been used on vinyl awning material. A little extra drying time should be allowed.

James, Two things to watch out for. Some MP loves vinyl others hate it. Second, you can burn the MP with oneshot if it's too hot (kicked with laq. or xylol) or thinned with hardener. test test test.
