Do any of you do the heat transfers that you print on your inkjet printer?

I have had fairly good luck with them but lately several have come back because the colors ran when they were washed.

I give instructions to wash inside out in cold water and they say thats what they do.

Does anybody have suggestions.

thanks

I do some heat transfers. It may be in the paper or inks that you use. Pressure and time both effect the outcome. If I can be of any help, don't hesitate to call, email etc.

Blake- I tell people that inkjet prints are just temporary prints- family reunions, trade show, etc. I always press the print as instructed and then when I get all the items done I press them again. Seems to set the print better.
I also tell the customer to have everyone wash it inside out in cold water w/ NO soap the first time. After that launder as usual. Hope this helps.

I use SpectraBright inks from JBL Graphics, they are specially formulated for transfers, I've sold hundreds of shirts with no problems.

I have found that Epson, Canon, Xerox and the opther inkjet manufacturer's own brands of tranfer paper work very well and last almost as long as the Tshirt.

Unfortunately, almost all stores now carry Avery's stuff, and it is as bad as their vinyl! IT quickly fades and/or peels away.
