I have just done a very quick edit, so excuse me if there area some duplicates, but here are pics of the meet at the hotel, some of Peri's immaculate shop, our trip through the Corinthian canal which is 6.5km long and was dug in the 1800's taking 11 years to complete, a building in Athens and a shot of Athens as I left yesterday from the air etc etc.
Sheila it was great to meet you and your daughter, sorry you had to leave in the middle of the night, glad that a few of us were still up, so we could say goodbye, and sorry you missed our boat trip that was fun too.
I'm still gobsmacked by the whole experience....what a time. Don't think I was in bed before 3 the whole time I was there....brilliant!!
Wonderful photos, Henry. That just looks and sounds like the perfect meet.

Hey Henry
It was the most amazing time was'nt it. You captured almost everything. I dont think I'll have a summer like that ever again. First Mazeppa then the Birth of My Daughter then Greece...outstanding. I'll certainly never forget the drive from the Airport either ha ha ... Sheila I got your message and it was a delight to meet you and Erica I have a nice photo of the two of you I'll send it along with all the other information you need...Sorry I never got to say goodbye but I will see you in Scotland next year. To Periandros and his beautiful wife and family thankyou for making it all possible and tell Tasos and Katerina I was asking for them..The Traditional Dancing on Saturday night was excellent. To all the other talented friends I met I hope you will do your best to come visit us next year. Overseas trips are always expensive but as life experiences go they are more than worth it.
So many Highlights
Marcus and Manfred from Germany ..when Marcus helped us borrow a guitar from a German music group he overheard one of the Children say "He speaks very good German for a Scotsman"
Myself and Mike Meyer stuck in 4ft of water in the sea on the shingle beach with the waves hitting us every 5 seconds.Trying to crawl out on our hands and knees..Impressive
David Butlers mind reading trick..
Sheilas attempt at the Scottish accent
And to cap it all that the Marriage of David and Laurie..
All the best guys from your friends in Scotland...see you soon

Joe and Mike, brings tears to your eyes it was a great time and great to meet you both, and I really enjoyed sharing with you Joe, meeting Sheila and Erica, Sonny and co and everybody else.
Still hard to think and understand that we were all having a great time together just a few days ago and are now all scattered out again around the world.
I'm looking forward to Scotland in May

Great job with the photos. I'm really struggling right now with this withdrawl I've got. Never been hit so hard with so much fun, insight, and passion for our craft...
Okay now that I've opened my sentimental side, someone mention how I moved a car and saved our bus trip tour.....
that or sing the Killer song: Carolina Marquez - The Killer's Song

One of the coolest things I've ever seen: our bus was wedged between 2 cars attempting to leave the hotel for the canal trip. It became evident that the bus simply wouldn't be able to make it, so Matt, along with his Scottish and German cohorts jumped out and literally bounced the car out of the way to the loud applause of the audience in the bus.

I hope Marcus (or Manfred) remembered to say: "FARFIEN-NEUGEN!" to the driver!!

Hi again,
i´m not sure if i wrote in the right topic, so here´s my message again:
Hello Letterhead´s,
we´re just back from the meeting in Greece. It was our first meeting and be sure not the last. We can´t explain what happened with us. It must be the Letterhead virus which infected us. Before the meet we was really nervous and corious about what might go on there and how you all welcome us unknown german sigmaker. But it was amazing. You all was so friendly and welcomed us as we know each other since many years. We learned so much in the seminars and in the workshops, which will help our business in the future perfect. We could talk with so much famous sign maker around the world to share our experiences.
So, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH for this great time!!! Special thanks to Perry for hosting the meet and this really well organized event with so much fun. We can´t wait for the next meeting.
Henry: Thanks for this great pictures! Great to meet you! Tack so mycket!
Sheila: Thanks for your kind words, we had also fun with you and your nice daughter, hope to see you again. We´re working at our alabama slang!
And i forgot: If any Letterhead travel through germany or europe, don´t forget to visit us. We have a nice guest-room and you´re always welcome.
How can you order 5 beers with 3 fingers???
Manfred & Marcus

Joe, there's nothing showing up on that page. I checked the source code and pasted a couple pics into the URL, and the pics showed up. But the webpage itself isn't working.

I'd like to upload my pics, but I just spent 2 hours trying to do it on Comcast, then I tried on Snapfish, also to no avail. Is there an easy way for tech-impaired bozos like me?
Posted by Sonny Franks (Member # 588) on :
Wow ...what great pictures. So nice to meet you Henry. See you in Germany 2007. John & Nita Arnott
Posted by Don Coplen (Member # 127) on :
Great pics, Sonny! It sure does show that you guys had a blast.
On you pics question, do you have Photoshop? There's a simple, automated way to make a web album with it.
Posted by Sonny Franks (Member # 588) on :
Don, the pictures don't really do it justice. Greece is breathakingly beautiful and the meet was perfect in every way. In case you were wondering why so many wedding pictures, I was the official staff wedding photographer!
I have a great image manager (Picasa) , as well as PS, that will do a web album - I just can't figure out how to get it there. Comcast gives me lots of space to upload, but I'm a dummy and rarely have time to just sit down and figure it out.
I traded a guy some boat lettering for a site design last year, and I haven't made the time to send him the info. I really need to get something going for the Sign Circus meet though. Maybe that will be the kick in the rear I need to get a web presence. If you want to get out of Femaville for a while, come on up and give me a hand.

Joe, (and Sonny) all your pics are great and were worth the wait . . .(hey! that rhymes!)
Makes me wanna go back there right now!!
(I was actually thinking about buying about 1000 ceiling fans w/light fixtures, and also shipping over about 1000 crepe myrtles. Does anyone know the specific process for shipping-to-sell such things??? Space rental available and cheap. Majority of initial profits to be re-invested in repeat shipments of same goods. Anyone wanna back my entrepreneurship??)

Great pics Henry and Sonny, it shows what a great meet this was. I met so many realy nice people that the list would take too long but most of you have posted here, you all made the trip worth while and I learnt so much. But above all I'm really glad no one seems to have got a picture of me dancing on the table. See you all in Scotland.
Posted by Sonny Franks (Member # 588) on :
Paul, I was focusing the camera and you climbed down before I could get the shot. It will be etched in many people's memories forever. You're a certified Letterhead Table Party Animal......
Posted by Henry Barker (Member # 174) on :
Table dancing? I just happened to be out of the room when all that was going on
John it was great to meet you and your wife too, I'm still wishing it hadn't all gone so fast

Thank you Henry, you really covered the entire meet. Now I don't feel as bad that I had to miss it. Just got back from 5 weeks in Norway.
