I have a request to manufacture a 6' x 12' seamless sign to mount directly to the wall and I'm not sure what kind of substrate to use. I would love to use the roll lexan sign face but don't know how to mount it. I have already tried to weld three pieces of aluminum together and that really did not work.

HELP!!!

Could you use a flexible face like the ones used for billboards? Here is the link to the 3m specs: http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediawebserver.dyn?mmmmmmWUeyAmGQnm_QnmmmnV0YhrRb5o-

Good Luck!

Hiya Jim,
I'm with Tom on this. Flexface would be easiest. However, you can get mill finish aluminum in 6' x 12' sheets.
I had one of my fabricators make these sign faces out of 1 sheet of aluminum.

Unfortunately, I do not know where he buys his aluminum from, so I'm not much help there.

Havin' fun,

Before you spend 2 days looking for a 6' x 12', you might want to show your customer just how tight alumalite butts up together. The seam is virtually invisible from any distance over 15 ft.

On the other hand, if it's for an architect, keep looking.

Nice sign and design, Brian.
