Hey all!

My step daughter Emily graduated yesterday from high school. Dana and I couldn't be prouder!

Here is the three of us at the graduation ceremony...

Nice tie, huh? Should be... it cost enough... hahahahahahahahaha!

Here is the watermelon I carved for her party today...

I used an old set of carving tools my father-in-law had. The consistancy was like carving 15 lb HDU. It did have a bit of grain to it and I had to watch the strokes. It is a bit awkward to carve but it was fun to do for her and her cousin, Jesse. I scored big brownie points with Emily... not to mention Dana and Mumsy (my m-i-l)

Hey Kimberly... how'd I do, eh? [Smile]

I like your flame one better.

Emily's a good kid... always has been. VERY talented, too, with music and art. She wants to go to Northwestern College in ST Paul, MN to become a music teacher. I really hope that works out for her!!

Here is one of her paintings - a man with a shofar (horn made out of ram's horn).
 -

Pretty talented music wise... you should've heard her play Orange Blossom Special on the fiddle with her Dad, John, on guitar!!

Gee... proud Mom here, ya think?!? [Big Grin]
