I've got a client who wants to put a print-out of a digital image on 12 circular tables, some 24" radius, some 30" radius. I've got an Epson 7500 printer (which will take care of the 24" and, maybe with a seam the 30"). It will print on vinyl. Do I have them cut out a piece of plexiglass or glass to keep the image clean and non-scratched? It's a locally famous restaurant.

Thanks for All your Help!

Hi Mark,
I'll throw in my 2 cents...and that's about what it's worth [Wink]

Is this something permanent...or will it change once in a while. I see tables around here that look screen printed and then have a heavy clear coat (acrylic) over it so it's embedded. Never done it but it looks messy and time consuming, not to mention hard to change.

If it's a full color print and fairly permanent, it may need covered with glass or plexi so it wouldn't get damaged.

I would worry about the edges. Is there an edge trim on the tables to cover the edges? If there is, a good heavy laminate might work for a while if you can remove the trim and put it back on covering the prints edges, but table tops take a beatin'

One hot pan, or even a set of car keys [I Don t Know]

I made a 15" game table for my brother last year. I printed different tops, and use a steering wheel cover to stretch around the table top. It holds the laminated print in place and allows other tops to be slipped in. One was checkers, one with his game room logo, and another was his favorite football team.
