I have one but don't use it anymore beside a footrest. What's wrong with it? Tracking?

Check for pieces of vinyl and/or dirt on the rollers......thats the first cause of tracking problems.

Tracking is NOT the problem.....It will not cut...somehow the commands got screwed up.

Make sure the plotter is set to Mode 2
Need the exact model eg. pnc1000 or pnc 950 for exact steps but all Roland can be set to Mode 1 or Mode 2 for the language they are set for.
From Signlab/Corel/ or 99% of all programs , you need mode 2 which is HPGL. Mode 1 is Rolands own language.

you should call thier tech support
But
You should see <Cmnd IO Rotate>
Cursor to CMND and hit enter
You should then see <Mode1 Mode2 Auto>
Cursor to mode 2 and hit enter.

Under IO, make sure it is set to serial or parrallel as the case may be.
If serial, set baud rate, data, stop bits etc
Prbably set them 9600,n,8,1,hardware

Under Rotate, make sure it is set to R0-90

Thanks for the support of everyone.........
Turns out it was "Mechanical"..........
A small micro switch in the area of the "Handle" was not making full contact.......after fixing this ......it works perfect once again.........

Found out why the switch was not making good contact...........(The cam on the Pinch Roller was broken).........
Since this Plotter is about 15 years old.........it is probably out of the question to get any parts.........
Anyone have a junk plotter laying around ???????/
