Hey Crew......

Justa quick thought about slogan lines.
I have been starting to implement them into logo and sign designs and have a great time comin' up with them.

Just wondering if this is an addition to logos you guys design and if your business includes some of your own handy work.

My slogan is...

"When the pencil catches the imagination!"

At work we use "Creativity, Quality, Service"
I sometimes sneak in "Technique, Tradition, Technology"

For my side stuff at home "F*#& You, It's Art"
(just get sick of the questions ... what do you do with it, why would you paint that, what's it for, etc.?)

"The World Famous". At the bottom of the page on my web site click on "How I became Famous". It's not what you would think!
Oh, and read the "Tales of the Famous"

I don't really use a slogan but I have thought of a couple.

"Stupid Name, Serious Graphics"

"Havasu's Hottest Graphics" - It ties in with the fact it can hit 120-125 degrees in the summer here. I actually have a logo with this slogan on it but havent really done anything with it.

On the outside of our enevelopes, we used to put the following....

Warning: A Well Designed Sign May Cause Fatigue Due to Increased Business."

Our van used to have "Design is Everything!"

When I was WELL established in the Baltimore market, I could be cocky with:
"One Day Sign Service, You'll Get Your Sign One Day!©"

Now it's just "The Fine Art of Signmaking©". I heven't been in this market long enough to flip anyone off.

How about: "Our work doesn't suck"

Posted by Rod Tickle (Member # 575) on :

mine is "FROM MILD TO WILD" meaning I can do the boring basic (mild) stuff but also to the "wild" full custom jobs and everything inbetween. I also use a airbrushed pic of a tiger as to me they represent both mild but they too can be wild. (also Tigers are bloody kewl looking animal, and fun to airbrush)

I've used "from mild to WILD" since 1998 but one i used in my early days was "A business with no sign is a sign of no business" I almost used "let me go APE on your sign" and use a airbrushed pic of an ape.

I also like "music to your eyes.

Cheers!

Rod

I usually sign my name Sign-cerely, Steve Luck on all my bids or faxes. It's not a slogan but people catch the pun. Before I became a partner in my shop I would freelance on my own as "Best of Luck Signs". Now that my partner has retired and I now own the business I could possibly add a slogan: It's Sign Magic; not Sign Miracle! One of my artists who is out indefinitely for health reasons liked to say, "It's all good, baby in the Sign Magic Kingdom!" I think a slogan is a great idea. Maybe I should give it "serious" thought.
Any suggestions? Be nice. One of my sign friends likes to call me Sign Tragic. I still don't know why.

Sign Doctors in Birmingham uses:

"A SIGN of good business is a GOOD SIGN!"

I've always liked that . . .

I have no slogan specifically for my business, no sign or business cards any more.... . .

I also like that saying:

"The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price forgotten"

But I expect that is too long to use as a slogan and would even require some additional message to clarify such as: 'Providing Quality Sign Service Since 1989'

Hey Steve Luck of Sign Magic...
How about "Prestodigitally Produced"?
or "...Before Your Very Eyes".
"We Make Your Ugly Signs Disappear"
"Presto, Change-O - A New Sign"
"We Make Business Appear Out of Thin Air"

Hey Gene Golden,
Thanks for the great suggestions for a slogan! I liked them all. the Prestodigitally produced is very current and clever. With all the talented sign makers here in Letterville, it's great to be able to ask for suggestions and get an answer on just about anything. Thanks Gene. I am usually pretty clever, but we all have writer's block now and then. SIGN-CERELY, STEVE

Hey Steve,
Glad I could help. I liked that one too.
