NO need for a garbage can...just had a guy here for a lettering job on his semi...he waited to take off the old vinyl until here got here to use our shop...no problem.

The problem was...and I hope I doesn't offend anyone here, but this is definitely not our practice....as he was removing the OLD vinyl as, opposed to putting it in the garbage can I had set right by him....it nonchalantly went right in his mouth!! [Eek!]

Chewing away...seemingly happy as can be.

We never saw him spit it out before he left. [I Don t Know]

Should I have offered him a snack?...maybe gummy bears?...twizzlers?...NEW vinyl? [Razz]

Could this guy be the reason they took the lead out of lettering paint?

This may not be the worst a customer could do...lets here some stories...

Should I have offered some Rapid Remover to brush with later?

Maybe a lil'chizler to help when wiping later?

whacko customer story...

I had a guy come in and ask if we had magnetic material... He wanted to buy four feet of it. I sold it to him and he promptly took off his shirt and wrapped it around himself. Said it worked great for backaches...

Hmmmmmmmm.......I wonder if that'll work for shoulder strains.

A friend's dog used to eat vinyl off the floor of her shop and left some "rainbow piles" around at times. [Smile] true story

Posted by Bruce Bowers (Member # 892) on :

Glen, if you would just stop patting yourself on the back, you wouldn't have those shoulder problems... Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Seriously, you hear about the healing powers of magnets and such. Why Not?

Be nice to him, Jeff. Save the backing paper, he can cut it into "roll size", No more TP buyin'.

Bruce,

I wonder if I could create a "magnetic vest" out of ProMag and get it patented. -

Yeah, you could be ProMagnum Man.... hahahahahahahahahaha!

There used to be a band called "The Rainbow Butt Monkees" I wonder if they used to be vinyl heads???

Posted by Bob Stephens (Member # 858) on :

I havent bought bandaids in years. Anytime I cut myself I slice off a strip off cast vinyl and wrap it around the wound. Stays on even in water. You can even chose a color to match your clothing that day.

Hey Darryl what happened to the band did they go for a s###t? [Rolling On The Floor] [Rolling On The Floor] [Rolling On The Floor] [Bash]

I'm surprised the magnetic sign material helped him. Magnetic sign material has a fraction of magnetic strength compared to bio magnet therapy mags. The polarity is not arranged for proper healing either. The Nikken company spent 2 million dollars on research to find the arrangment of the magnetic material for best healing which is very small bars arranged in a trianglar pattern.

...Vinyl, YUMMY! ...And it's high in vitamin PCB !

Posted by Jay Allen (Member # 195) on :

If I'm not mistaken, Gummy Bears ARE made out of vinyl.

Or maybe they just taste like it.

Jeez, Jeff. Glad you have customers like that - and not me. But I should considering where the shop is at. Dontcha think? [Smile]

Posted by Jeff Spradling (Member # 1615) on :

I think ya mean where your shop is...and yes...I’m sure he migrated here [Wink]

Dave,

ProMagnum Man says it helps.... Who am I to argue? I charged him roughly 15 bucks a foot. What did I care what he did with it? Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Posted by Gene Golden (Member # 3934) on :

Don't worry Jeff, it will all vinyly come out in the end.

And Dave, the magnetics will work...
if you believe they will.
