I had never seen the movie "Monsters Ball" until yesterday. Good movie, except for the parts where Halle Berrys character beat on the little boy who played the part of her son. His real name was Coronji Calhoun. I did a search on the net to see what has happened to him since the movie, but found nothing. I felt sorry for the little guy being portrayed the way he was. I think he was from New Orleans where the movie was filmed.

sad thing is, that was just a movie. Reality is a lot worse. trust me I know. 14 years in corrections and 4 years on the street as a beat cop.

I think the kid is from Baldwin, La, not far from me. They did an article on him in the paper. Havn't heard about him since.
