Eberhard Faber no longer produces their DESIGN ART MARKERS, and I always need them. I've cleaned out the local supplies, but...
If anyone has a stash of these, Part # 229-LF, and wants to part with them, let me know. You can email me at thebrush@rochester.rr.com, or call me at 585-349-3388.
I've used these for my original illustrations for clip-art for 15 years now, and I'm lost without them.
Thanks, and have a good 2005.
Keep on keepin' on,
Brian Briskie

Say it ain't so, Brian! I have a cigar box of em somewhere from art school, but I bet they are even more dried up than I am. Saw black only here. Hope you find some. Love....Jill

Have you tried Pearl Arts & Crafts. Looking at their website it looks like there are 4 locations in NY. Don't know if that's close to you. There are a couple in NJ as well. Might be worth a phone call.

Yo Brian....
Listen man I just bought a new set of markers called Tria by letraset.
Check it out it has three different tips in one marker and they have ink to refill them!

Jill and Amy,
Thanks for both leads...but alas, they both have a few Black 229-L's, but no LF's.I appreciate the heads-up though.
My hope is that someone who bought a case (48 at a time, the way I used to buy 'em), may be willing to part with them, or some of them. On a retail basis, I've been looking since late December.
And Steve, I'll look into those markers, pal. I'm willing to try anything (I have tried about a half-dozen alternatives). Glad to hear yer alive and well buddy, when we parted ways last month, it was late at night, and you were winning yer kid's college education at the BlackJack table. You were making the most outrageous, senseless, unconventional bets I had ever seen (and my wife is a tourament player)...and you were WINNING! It was even ****ing off the dealer!
Thanks again kids, for helping out.
Be Well. Keep On Keepin' On.
Brian

Probably a dumb question Brian, but might they be available in Germany? I know of this phenomenal store, 4 stories of nothing but Art Supplies, in Augsburg. It's middle name is Eberhardt Faber
I could have someone look into it if there is a chance.

Thanks Myra!
I've got a solid lead, that Sanford has taken over that old EberhardFaber Design Marker line, and I'm awaiting Sanford's reply. I have found a couple dozen 229-LF's a various locales, and have them coming my way...that'll get me by for a month or so.
Mr. Greer called me last night and shared a few leads with me as well.
