My Dad is visiting for the Holidays from California.
He and Jim went out to do some Christmas shopping this afternoon. When they got back Dad was complaining about having chest pains.
We took him into the local hospital's emergancy room, where it turns out he was indeed having a heart attack.
They decided to treat him with a blood thinner to dissolve the blood clot rather than lifeflight him to Seattle.(time is of the essence)
It's possible his Dr. in CA will want him to have an angioplast (sp?) in that case they will transport him to Seattle.
If that happens I will ride with him and stay as long as he is there.
My Mom passed away just a few days after Christmas last year....I told him it's too early for him to join her, we need him here too much!
Your prayers are welcomed
Adrienne

A, I feel for you. (see post Christmas Bummer) My prayers are with ya.
The good news is your Dad got to the hospital. They can do some amazing things if they get the chance.
Hold hands with Dad, every chance ya get. And pray.
Sometimes that's all we can do. Shalom Bill

A - I actually had a dream a few hours ago that I was having dinner with you and your family at your house. Where in the heck that came from I have no idea but maybe it was my brain's way of keeping you in my mind. Big hugs and all my best positive thoughts to you, your dad and James.

Adrienne,
He's got you and the Lord, and blessings for the doctors. God be with you guys, well, sometimes we just wonder why. At least you got him to the doc right away, which I can attest, this was a miracle. The wonders of what the medical profession can do along with the Great Physician is hopefully a comfort to you. Aren't you glad he happened to be around loved ones who could be there for him? Stay well too, and keep us posted. A blessed Christmas to you.

A, looking forward to an update.
Glad Jim has solid thinking and knew what to do. Guess he won't be fishing today.
Our prayer are for your comfort and dad's recovery.
