I know, I know....it's not even Thanksgiving yet but I have to start thinking early about what I need to buy or make for everyone on my list. Our family usually exchanges lists at the Thankgiving gathering. Joe, the youngest, 21 this year, ( I'm not THAT old am I!) makes the best lists and has since he was little. He used to draw pictures of what he wanted and it was usually a couple pages at least! His birthday being the 19th of December, he has always been INTO Christmas and the decorating and presents and cookies, etc. So what do you want Santa to bring YOU this year!?

Torch, a set of Carrillo Rods for my race bike. large metal break. can't think of much else.

An inground swimming pool or a new kitchen. Seriously, we're contemplating either putting in a pool or doing some work to our kitchen so those will be our "Christmas presents" if we do.
My husband just got a new Jeep Wrangler so that was his present.

I can't think of any material thing that I 'need' . . .but if you have some kind of inside deal with Santa, he can bring me a brand new truck ... (make that a crew-cab champagne-coloured, Chevrolet dually with lot'sa chrome, lol )
Seriously, I'm just thrilled that my daughter will be here waitin' on me to get back from St. Louis on the 19th, then my son-in-law will be joining us by the 23rd for the holiday. I'm all excited about the gifts that they are gettin' from me (panels!) and getting to cook a big meal since I'm gonna break down and put the stove in the partially completed kitchen just for this occasion!

Kids making lists...Jane you reminded me when my 15 year old was about 4 the number one item on his list in big letters was a "Bone-arro". Cripes.
Daddy this year must get a Telecaster. New or old don't matter as long as it's a real Fender, not a copy.

Nobody is going to believe this but....
I WANT SNOW..(see disclaimer)
*disclaimer...I want gently falling, huge snowflakes only, on Christmas Eve, and gently falling, huge flakes only, on Christmas Day. The snow MUST be gone by December 26 though. AND the temperature, while the snow is falling, cannot be less than 31 F. ALSO, there can be NO wind. Before and after those specific dates it will be as warm as possible.*

I can't say that I want anything. I've had Christmas all year long. Got the new printer. Getting a new Seal laminator next week. I did take a gander at a new Suzuki Hayabusa today! I had to force myself not to buy it today. I must, must excersize some self restraint.
The older I get the less I need or want. Material things just don't do it for me anymore unless its work related and can make me more than it cost.
The only thing I might wish for is good health. Without that everything else means little.

Bob
go get the Busa. You're mature enough to handle the power. Unlike 90% of the guys riding them today.

WE ordered a Red Standard Poodle. We have to wait a while, there wasn't one in the last batch of puppies.

Dave Grundy.....you are just a big kid.....I hope you own a sleigh and some warm mittens. Jane...I can't think of anything better than having my family all here...great people, lots of laughs....and access to my 'other' family....everyone here at Letterville. Do you think John Jordan...'The Goldfather' would fit in my stocking? Enjoy.

I just want to be with family. I would really like for my heart to stop hurting from losing my grandma. I'm in a bahumbug state of mind.

#1 Someone else volunteering to do the big family Christmas thing at their house. Last year I was volunteered without my knowledge and between decorating, shopping, wrapping, cleaning and preparing 2 dinners by myself, I was ready to snap.
I'd also like... Sandblast Cabinet Humidity Gauge Portable, collapsible scaffold. That router I've been fondling at the lumber yard.

A new VersaCamm and Laminator.
Posted by Mike Pipes (Member # 1573) on :
Guess I got the health thing taken care of..
The rest of my family is doing great too...
I need a new pair of skates because my other pair is toast.
I also want a Canon EOS D20 digital camera with a 400mm telephoto Canon prime "L" lens but I'm taking care of that tall order myself. It's quite an investment but the income potential is there waiting for me.
Other than that there's not much I want.. maybe a 1Gig Comfact Flash card for the camera.

I don't want anything. I do like to get Christmas cards tho! I guess I'll wish for Stevo to get here soon, and Peace on Earth. And a Merry Christmas for everyone here. Love....Jill

I'd like a cordless circular saw.
Subscription updates for AMAL and AUTO ART.
A web site.
A punch card for double espresso's at my favorite daily stop.
Someone to stack my firewood.
Hugs.

Peace on earth. We could really use it.
Chris, don't buy a so-called "humidity gauge", buy a sling psychrometer. Bacharach is a very good brand. Much more accurate than most other methods. (about $60-70). Got mine from Grainger, or MSC, don't remember.
Peace out.

A panel saw (ordering it this week). A cordless circular saw. A nice big air compressor.... Santa, you listening??
Posted by Jane Diaz (Member # 595) on :
Come on now, you people. God love you for thinking of world peace and being with your families, but let's get material here! This sounds like a Miss America contest! What do you WANT! You might as well fess up and think of some THINGS that you'd like, be it tools, a trip somewhere, totally useless jewelry, electronics or toys...let's get down to the nitty-gritty-gimme stuff! I'm not saying you NEED to get it just what would you LIKE to get, if Santa asks.

Wel,l I just received my daughter's wish list so my "gifts to self" list just went out the window. Then again she is the most important thing in my life....so it goes.
If there is a Santa reading this.....I have been good, well kinda?
Only a couple of things I have been thinking about lately
A 40 gig iPod would be cool.
And a 750 Holley double pumper carb for my 69 Camaro would really improve it's gas milage and the smile factor....
Hope you all get something special for Christmas, whether it be snow, happy little shop tools, or just a hug from a loved one....and maybe a well made cookie!
Posted by Kelly Thorson (Member # 2958) on :
Books, design books, how to books, art books, novels on tape or CD, anything that helps organize - preferably a maid, tools - maybe someone could build me that panel saw I have plans for, warm cuddly clothing, a teddy bear for that inner child, maybe a pacifier for her too so she behaves when I'm supposed to be busy. A tobbogan and a hill of snow - not to steep thou 'cause I'm basically chicken. Some christmas letters from some friends (maybe I ought to send out some if I expect to get some) A grandkid would be nice....

To weigh 20 lbs less than I do now.
Get a new uninjured back and neck.
To go on a REAL holiday in a jet and everything to somewhere tropical that has great entertainment for kids right next to the bar on the beach. ha...
A brand new house like my girlfriend is currently getting built. I don't dare go smell the new wood or I'll die of envy.
Someone to make me a huge turkey dinner with lots of stuffing.
A new pair of jeans that fit right.
A brand new wardrobe. ANYONE is free to call up What Not To Wear and have me enrolled.
A digital printer that can run itself so there isn't a huge learning curve. I don't have the time!
An opportunity to decorate someone else's home for fun.
A new truck with an extended cab.
A real ME day. Maybe even away for a night. Dip in a wonderful hot tub, have a quiet dinner, go watch a great girlie movie, go shopping, etc.
For my hair to turn out today. Getting it done. FINALLY.
I could go on forever....

I suffer terribly from truck envy.....
dear santa: I would like a dodge crewcab one ton with oversized duallies, diesel engine, jake brake, heated leather seats, heated mirrors, towing package and the biggest boat that I can possibly tow with that sucker (25 footer maybe?). I like it black in colour so I can take it to a letterhead meet and have them all go rank on it.
thanks
.......A guy can dream at least.....

I want about $500,000 to pay off debts, travel, and to put away for retirement. I'd go to every letterhead meet!!! Especially the ones coming up in Greece and Ireland. Of course I would stay a few weeks in each place to take in the scenes. I want a new house built to my specifications with my shop built on one end of the house. I want to own an insurance company that has great rates and low deductibles on medical insurance. This company would be for letterheads exclusively. Of course like Donna I want to lose weight and buy a whole new wardrobe. I want to build a real Letterville retirement village in some tropical place. Hummmm..I better go back and up the amount of money I want now to accomplish all of this. Judy

Ok, so this is more of a "no-holds-barred" list? I'll take: * a painless tummy tuck * lose 30 pounds * new clothes * perfume & makeup * a 1962 Cadillac Hearse * a money tree in the yard * instant permanent resident status for Stevo (free) * perpetual maid service * a new garage with a BIG door * new furniture * new computer * a free pass to Barnes & Nobles * all the cool fonts from all the sites * a trip for two to Scotland ummm...that's all I can think of! Love....Jill (see? You thought I was sooo sweet, I can be monetary too)

I wish for everyone to have good health and enjoy life to the fullest.
Money isnt everything.
"You cant take it with you."
OH!!!! and the item on the top of my list since about 1981................
A beautiful Blonde about 20 years old ( ask my mother she will tell you thats the only thing on my list every year. I have told her that if the blonde is a little older I wont be disappointed)
