Daniel...In my opinion a Roland 24" cutter will be a good investment.

Just for reference sake, I bought my current cutter (Roland CM 24) about 3 or 4 years ago for $1800 Canadian. It hasn't skipped a beat yet and it made me back it's cost in the first couple of weeks.

There are currently some CX 24's on E-Bay at about $1200-1500 U.S.

Alternatively you could locate a dealer near you on the Roland website atThis Location

A dealer might have trade-ins for sale at a reasonable price.

Good luck in your search.

Keep your eyes out, you can catch some good "sale prices" at some dealers pretty regularly. I IMed you about 1, hope you got it.

My advice is to pay a couple hundred more and get the brand-new, outta the box, full 2 yr warranty instead of chancing it on ebay.

Hmmm, I've got a Roland PNC 1100 (24" Plotter) I bought in 1992 I think, and it still runs fine. That warrantee might be a good idea though as parts from Roland are EXPENSIVE!!!
