I'm a little late posting about my time in Mocton.

This meet was seamless........

Brian and Bob didn't host a meet. They created a atmosphere where 150 sign folks got together in combination to create an energy that best describes all our hopes to elevate our own personal skills and the craft in general.
For those who seek to learn and those who seek to teach and pass on a passion for this craft, Mocton, The "Letterhead Roundup", surpassed all expectations!
I fell fortunate to have been part of of it.

Thanks for all the hard work!
Thanks for all the fine food!
Thank you for the oppertunity!
And Thank You For All the Friendships!

Joe,
Makin Chips and Havin Fun!

You know it was a fantastic event when people who've been to dozens of meets leave with the same excitement as the first-timers. Although we're all back home again, I'm sure each of us left a piece of our hearts in the Maritimes.

Great photos David. Tell me, did Tramp ever finish striping the perimeter of the Ranch?

There has to be some more pictures out there. Come on people post them. Acording to my ACDsee I have downloaded 120 shots at about 7 meg and have room for more. Where are those overhead group shots?

On a side note does anyone have contact information for the fellow that owns the purple 1949 dodge car. I didn't get any and have something for him. Thanks

I'm so sorry that I couldn't be there.. I know that all those that were there were looking forward to hearing me speak... to have a laugh at my accent. Kelly tells me that she had a wonderful time, and met some fine people.

She just handed me the 2 tee Shirts from you David, which I'll wear proudly. Thanks!

And Brian to answer the Question that you have on your mind.. NO! in no way was I mad at you for sending my check back to me... had nothing to do with it. lol.

I know that you and Bob? went above and beyond for everyone at the meet.. it was my loss.

David...yes Moncton was the greatest meet. The location was unbelievable...a paradise.
Our hosts Bob and Brian were the ultimate gentlemen/hosts/inn-keepers. The chefs and their helpers were superb. We were all treated like kings and queens.
The gurus, the masters such as yourself were wonderful. The quality of knowledge that was shared, led to a very positive learning experience for those of us who still have a the long way to go. I believe that everyone who attended this meet now has a special connection. This meet cannot be described by words alone, it was a feeling. A feeling of comfort, of peace, of awe, of amazement, of friendship, of quality, of consideration, of learning, of admiration, of heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
I learned so much, and am happy I got to meet you as real people. I am inspired by the art and talent but also by the people you are. Your talents are as varied as your special niches and personalities, but you are all warm, fun-loving, caring individuals.
I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU, to all those (and their spouses) who took the time to come and present their talents to us, David Butler, John Jordan, Tramp Warner, Francis Lastingi, Butch Anton (Superfrog), Nancy Beaudette, Noella Cotman, Joe Cieslowski , Pierre Tardiff, Don Edwards, Mike Meyer, Peter Payne. (Sorry if I left out anyone) Thanks also goes to the many characters learning along side of me or creating their own panels and letting us learn from each other: Rhonda Price, Sonny Franks, George and Susan MacKinnon, Kelly and Jess Thorson, Suelynn Sedor, Pat McKillop, Sandy Baird, Dan Haight, Steve Thomas Greer, Mario (Mike Meyer's twin), Heather, Jake, Jo, Wayne, Roland, Sylvia, Debb, Duncan and Lori, Elaine, Isabelle, Tina, Erica, Dave, and so many more.
As individuals we also need to pass on our 'Thanks' to the wonderful suppliers of products and support.
Thank you all for sharing. Moncton was the best!

I'm still missing all you guys - and the Maritimes too! The Round-up was absolutely awesome. As true 'virgin' letterheads we weren't sure what to expect. We found wonderful friendly talented people, skills, tips and all so generously offered, great food also generously offered, and the most amazing setting! I'm still trying to process everything I tried to absorb. One minute inspired and the next overwhelmed, but back to inspired again. I've got a long way to go but that's OK! We had the best time, and the comraderie there picked me up more than anyone can imagine. Thanks to Bob & Brian, and to all the experts and wonderful fun folks we met, to my boss John Jans for making it possible for us to go, to everyone!!! Thanks for being there!! I sure hope there'll me another Round-up 'cause we'll be there with bells on.
Perhaps I'll go now and practice some lettering, or maybe 'making chips' - leaving behind something other than a horse, for fun...
Take care, all!
Erica
