I know demographics play a part here. But what is fair compensation for experience salespeople.
I was thinking of small base plus commission. Even trying to figure out a attractive but a "keep em hungary" commission percentage that may be normal. Anyone see something that has worked...

...(around this town) a competent sales person should make no less than about $45,000 a year. And that's peanuts for a good one who could go to work for (a company like) Phillip Morris and pull in 150 k or more.

That's alot of sticky letters. I hope your shop is busy.
