Dave,
I believe you've missed your calling.
Not only are you the rare great picture-taker, but you also provide wonderful commentary.
Almost made me feel as if I was there!
(BTW I love those old star-thingies in the Courier wall, the Lincoln/Monica pose, and the shot of the guy on the ladder at the train mural where the braces are wearing gloves looks so comical, like the ladder is an animated character)
Wish all the pix would have shown up!
I wonder if that town will ever be the same?
Probably not.
Love & thanks....Jill
PS (edit)
Finally figgered it out...right-click on the red Xs and select "Show Picture" DUH!

Dave, you are definately the MAN! I saw Kay clicking a couple of those shots too. Thanks to both of you! We had a blast with you guys and everyone else.
What a crazy group! Shirley, you snuck up on me! You first come off as so shy and quiet and then we discover you are an awesome joke teller! There were some real quick wits and funny remarks flying about my husband's ability to "hold things in". You know how shy and quiet he is now! It was great to get to spend time with all of you and get to know you better. I learned so much...one thing was to be be careful with fire! I still have the burn mark on my finger from the molten plastic from the zilching! And I also have a new found respect for shadow puppetry!! [Big Grin]

Dave,
Nice work. I am quite impressed with your photo skills. I talked with Anne from the courier yesterday and she is still trying to get me the collection of what she shot that week. I will let all know when it lands in my lap and set up a gallery.

One more thing. I May I copy the images off of your page and put together a comprehensive gallery of the Lincoln meet on my site so we have all the images in one spot? Figured I would ask permission first.

Later

Adam

I haven't seen the group shot that was taken of everyone that was there yet. Anyone have one?

Adam took those didn't he? I haven't seen the professionals work yet, I hope they are feeling better. You really did get some good shots here Dave. [Smile]

Thanks a bunch! Man, if you ever run into Dave Utter, you gotta get him to tell a few of his train stories. Dave can tell a story that will split you in half. [Wink]

Gee, I'll take that as a huge compliment Adam, since that's what you do for a living. Thanks!

and..as far as using the pics, "why soitanly!". I'll get you the originals. The ones on here are reduced considerably.

Dave had a nifty new camera. He was just having a ball trying it out! What kind of camera was that, Dave? I was impressed!!

It's a Canon, S1 IS. And yes I'm "luvin' it". We have a new hobbie. We have been taking nightly rides through the country and "deer hunting". You talk about relaxing. Set the cruise on 25, and.........................

Dave,
Is that the infamous
"deer in the headlights"
look?

I hope you have your hands on the wheel! Or are you "driving " the train when you do this? They just follow those [Wink] little tracks! You have to remember which one your driving, Dave!

Dave- so glad you posted the pics (I want a copy)- been checking periodically but no time to post after taking a week off. Loved Dave Parr's pics- you guys are awesome. I'll take this opportunity to say I had a blast- if Bill told one more joke (w/ Jane's coaching!) I'd have to pucker too.

It was just great seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones- I'm so overwhelmed by the talent of you people- it's such an inspiration to be involved in projects like this. The key to all this is the humor that goes on 24 hours a day- it's constant and contagious! And now you can see what I have to put up with being Shirley's friend- we laughed all the way there and back. Just picture Laurie's face after Shirley told that story at dinner and you can understand why I make wrong turns! [Dunno]
