I just acquired a Roland PNC-1000 and I am seeking a manual for it. I downloaded the driver(s)from the Roland web site but I cannot find a manual anywhere for purchase or download. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I got one for my 1050 I don't know how different the 2 machines are, & I'm not volunteering to xerox the whole thing just yet, but if no other leads turn up, you can email me to discuss it further if the 1050 is similar enough for it to be helpful manual.

Rick...I used to have a 1000 and it's manual. The manual is as thick as a telephone book and contains virtually nothing that would help you in running the machine from a signmaking product or Corel or Illustrator.
You will have better luck just asking what you want to know on this Bullboard and several folks will be able to give you answers.

Thanks guys! Well Dave, that phonebook as you call it explains why it's not available for downloading. All I basically need is the explanation of how to use the controls for basic setup anyway. I probably can muddle my way through that part with a little experience and perseverance.

What Dave said, especially the part about the manual being virtually no help in setup to run from your software. It all revolves around the program. All the sign software I've used or had access to had drivers for the 1000 and the 1000a and ran flawlessly for me. I haven't been too successful at running directly from CorelDraw but I seem to recall that Dave posted a tutorial here some time ago. Let us know what you're using. Someone can most likely answer all your questions.
I did find my manual for the old 1000a which should be very similar so if you absolutely have to have the manual perhaps we could do a photocopy deal of the pertinent pages for you.
BTW, greetings from a ex bad-smellie native (Canton). I was born there but moved away years ago. Ah, how I miss the smell of rotten cabbage in the morning...sigh. Probably why you are in Waynesville, right...;o)

Hi I have a copy that is as thick as a phone book and completely useless for any adjustments it's full of gobble goop and Bull... why they ever chose to make it a part of the package.???
