I had some decals I taped off with clear TransferRiet Ultra tape. Squirted them with some Rapid Tac to aid in mounting. The reaction between the two products was bad: the clear became gooey-milky-white, was not useful as a "clear" any longer and the adhesive seem to come off the tape.(This happened to me once before a couple years back & I obviously forgot the issue until...well, now)
Anyone have a clear tape to reccommend that will not react like this?
Hey Roger...any suggestions.
Thanks.

Hi Phil, Clear tapes don't work as well as paper with wet apps because they can't absorb the fluid. I've had many people tell me that they don't have any trouble with our TransferRite products, however, so here are a few tips:
Spray the target surface, not the back of the decal.
Use just a mist of fluid, not a river.
Work quickly!
Good luck, Sara

With all due respect Sara, by just "misting" the substrate there may be several DRY spots, these will result in trapped air under vinyl (bubbles).
I never used clear tape, I can see well enough thru the paper tape (yes Transferite) after I wet it, so as to make good registration.
