It never fails that I wear something nice to the shop, not planning on painting anything and then something comes up that I have to d a little touch up. I get on one of the many aprons that I have won at pasts meets, and feel secure that I am safe. NOT... I get home and there is a smiggen of paint here and there. How can I get it out?

Yep, the true lament of a sign painter...and its usually the good stuff that gets the unremovable paint. In desperation I have used MEK and a fairly stiff nylon brush before. I have also used Gojo hand clearner with the brush with some success.
Actually, the best thing to do is go ahead and spatter paint all over 'em and tell everyone its a fashion statement...

Easy-Off oven cleaner is the only way to go!!!!
Either that or acetone Laura..BUT if ya use acetone..be sure that the One-Shot isn't on the clothing in yer butt area...acetone DOES eat up nylon panties...been there and seen the rusults of a gal dabbin' acetone on her posterior!!! It WAS fun to watch!!!! Posted by Jack Keith (Member # 4499) on :

High pressure (spray gun) mineral spirits and blow it right out of the fabric...must be done immediately!
If it dried there tell your favorite dry cleaner exactly what it is and come back in a week...(he'll get it) if it's anything short of fire red on white!
Good Luck...these are the only two methods I've found...on the other hand next time you get latex in your clothes soak it wwith soapy water and wash it the same day ...it will come right out!

If you have a tshirt printing company nearby, many have dry cleaning guns with Tetrachloroethylene (which is a carcinogen) for removing thumbprints, smudges and pinhole marks on tshirts. Not something you want to try at home for safety reasons. They use a high pressure gun with a thin spray pattern to blow out the ink/paint, and it works on most clothing, but if it is a delicate fabric, I don't recommend it because it the pressure stream will tear the fabric.
Other than that, I'd take it to the dry cleaners and hope fo the best. Rapid

This is exactly why I now paint naked. The only problem is rubbing the pumice cleaner or gun cleaner and Steel wool on my anatomy to get the paint off. I seem to be building up a tolerance for it though. LOL Dale

why not mix up some more one shot to match the color of your clothes and just paint over the stain?

...While the paint boo boo is still WET, swab some mineral spirits to it. Then swab on some "Shout" (fabric stain remover) and wash the garment.
...This has worked for me several times. Now, if the paint has dried... I dunnow.

Get a small can of "goof -off" & a toothbrush. Squirt on the spot, brush both sides, Blot with a paper towel, repeat, repeat, repeat. GONE!

Unpainted clothing is a magnet for any wet one shot within 100 yd radius. I've learned to wear it like a badge. Dont have it on all my socks yet like Joey, but I'm werkin on it...

After 25 plus years of living and struggling with, and benefitting from OneShot I think that Ray's comments on T-shirt printers and their paint out guns is good, while his dry cleaning comment is a joke/Jillbeans as I love to see has a wonderful attitude/ Mike Pipes' idea is excellent/and I can't wait to try Mike Mischeif's Goof - off solution.
My personal experience of using OneShot when wearing good clothes is that I may have a fine job in the end, along with an expense that can't realistically be billed to the customer.
My solutions of how to handle the inevitable permanent stains is twofold:
either : Magic Marker notations inside the piece of clothing ( such as : "Work only", every pair of Jeans I own has notations )
Or: put my LA lawyer sister onto weeding the stuff out of my closet when she is visiting.
The second solution is permanent, creates an interesting vaccuum in my closet, which creates a giant sucking sound on my credit card.......
One Shot is wonderful. One should only use it wearing Pat King's overhauls.

OP, Shame on you. I hope you are coming to the Detroit meet. Its time that we meet face to face.
My daughter just found out the Spirit Airlines is offering round trip tickets from Det to 4-5 cities in Fl for 83.00.. starting in Aug. sometime. I know Tampa is one of them. Her and I and the grandkids will probably be down somewhere from Aug - Oct. We've got relatives in Tampa, a friend in St. Pete that I want to see, relative in Wellington and my mother at Ft. Pierce. So we are probably going to be doing some traveling. If I can, I plan on stopping into soem letterhead shops unexpectantly. BEWARE!

I don't worry about it,... As 90% of my work is paint, I have two kinds of clothes,...those that have paint on them and those that don't have any on them yet,....I always buy denims for work,...the new ones are for meeting new clients,that haven't been stained yet and those that already have paint on them. I can buy a new denim outfit at wally world (Wall Mart) for under $25 anywhere in the U.S.,....if the job doesn't warrant that much overhead,it's not worth dressing up in clean denims for it. As for the Ladies here this may not be much help ,...I haven't bought any ladies clothes lately,...
