Remember that auction last week for Gerber equipment from Kuala Lumpur? Soon as I read it, I got a "this ain't real" feeling. I read the ad a few times and still couldn't figure out exactly what they were selling. So, I asked the seller a question. TWICE. No answer. Oh yeah, someone is gonna get taken.
I checked the now closed auction and it now says the seller (who had registered with ebay on 5/17/04) is now "not a registered user".
Delving into the ebay Faqs looking for "not a registered user" I got: A registered user's status may change if they ask to cancel their membership or if they're suspended from trading on eBay.

Chris- Caveat emptor! I saw a Harley really cheap-asked the guy why so cheap-sent me a convoluted email and the next thing I know the auction is cancelled and the same thing as the Kuala Lampur guy-not a registered user. I have bought and sold over 500 transactions on eBay and have not had one bad experience. I pretty much always buy from people with good feedback and if I feel that something is fishy or not quite right-I don't participate. Of course its always a crap shoot.
