At Mass Meyhem 4 Spud Kelly handed me a CD from his band with a few songs on it, he asked to give it a whirl and see what I thought, well it got put in the truck and like socks in the dryer it got lost for a few. I came across it yesterday again and popped it in the cd player.
Let's just say I was rather impressed having heard many small band cd's I really enjoyed this one Spud.
Way to go, oh by the way it made me pinstripe faster lol

We need sound clips Bob, and pictures of the Spudettes. No pictures of Spud though please.

Bob, you silly, silly man...........don't you realize that what I gave you was actually Alvin & the Chipmunks recorded at 1/2 speed?........ actually, what I gave Bob was 3 songs recorded live a few months ago by Johnny Girouard & the Lonely Ones, in which I am the drummer. Two of the songs were written by Johnny and the third is a song by good ol' Merle Haggard. We play a blend of styles as our originals attest to, while also doing some covers by the likes of Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Hank Williams and, of course, the Beatles. We've all been playing together, off and on, for the past 30 years. We've all gone off and played with other bands doing the "touring thing" at one time or other, but this thing has always been a constant for us. I really feel lucky to be doing this with my best friends. Hope you can see and hear us some time...........BTW, Joe, I hide behind a set of drums so no one can really see me. The other guys seem to like it that way.

Thanks for the CD, Spud.
Reading this post reminded me of it and I fired it up last night. Really like the second cut...nice feeling there on the drums.
