part of the experience of a letterhead meet is seeing all the friends you met at past meets and through the years.... so who's coming to mass mayhem this year? this meet promises to be a big one and Mike and Jay are spectacular hosts. sont miss this one, this will be our 4th year putting on a meet on the same dates. we are hoping to keep it going for many years to come!

I'm going.
Mike, I'll get the cabinet from you there if it's easier than stopping in Great Barrington.
If you want to get here a day early and check out the local scene, you're more than welcome to stay at my place and we can head over to Mayhem together.

PS: I'll be bringing my 1948 Ford F-1 pick up. So all you stripers can have a blast!

MMIV is going to be great!!!

This meet has matured into one of the most balanced meets anywhere. There must have been a dozen folks there giving carving a try and with about 4 or 5 real carving pros showin their stuff it made this meet really special!

Paint and gold was flying everywhere...really a great meet.

The whole Szczocarz family goes all out with their hospitality!!! [Applause]

Actually, I'm only going because I have this panel with Kens name on it. Ya Right [Roll Eyes]

Joe,
Makin chips and Havin Fun!

I'll be there.

Ken......the story I got is that DaggerRat is catching a ride to your place, and plans to drive there with you. Maybe he'll finally show up.

Posted by BrianTheBrush (Member # 1298) on :

Mr Rochon...

'splain to me whats up here..I re-read your post here three times, and it must be an impostor POSING as Bob Rochon. I know this because NOBODY from Massachusetts uses "R"s in their speach.

More like "Oz"..or "Ahhs".

So it woulda been "pahhk the cahh over heahh"

And I think my wife and I will be attending Mass Meyhem..I'll know for sure early next week.

Brian

Get that loud-mouth brother of yours to drive you up!

18 hours, Kelly.

It hurts to miss this meet. We're stuck out here in the sunny mountains of BC, but our hearts will be with all of you at Mass Mayhem this coming week. Don't forget! You're all Letterville Reporters.

Look for newbies and do all you can to draw them into the activities. Urge them to write a report later about the people and things they remember most about their first meet. Hoping to see you all at Brian Hanson and Bob Hinds Maritine Round-Up at Sunset Valley Ranch, Moncton, NB in late August.

There's all sorts of great meets planned for this Summer. Watch this BB and the Future Live Meets Page at http://www.letterhead.com/events.html for all the details as they come in.

Gump and I are heading down Thursday night after the game to the hotel in Seekonk.

My panel's done, there's a certain claw brandishing Canadian ready to go for Ken, and a few other goodies will be going in the back of the truck for the weekend.

Counting down the HOURS.....

Barring anymore unforseen disasters, I'll be there sometime Thursday evening. Hoping my glue finishes chipping by then.

Alan, I wanna trade in these Alan Johnson signature brushes I got from you last year. They're defective. What comes outta them looks nothing like your signature. [Wink]

I'll be there... just talked to Mike'zeppa Meyer, he's on his way, and I'm lookin' to get Ironman Otto von Schmackenhammer to come on Saturday with his dad G.O. in the '66 Mercury Monterey convertible. Are we having fun yet?

Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :

Hey you MAY-niacks!
Mazzepa Mike might be getting the distance trophy this year. I spoke to mike this weekend, he has got about 90 confirmed and dozens of "yeah we'll be there's".... sounds like a great meet!
to answer a few questions,
who is dagger rat? dagger rat was the person who started mass mayhem, he posted 1 message on the bullboard to date: anyone in New England interested in a meet?... which in turn led to me organizing MM1, and he was never heard from again, and hasnt been seen since, last year on saturday night I thought i saw him russling around in the garbage. turned out to be a big mouse with a swirly-q.

should i bring cookies? yes! i like chocolate chip w/ nuts...

should i bring brownies? yes but dont let Cam eat the 'special brownies'

I know Mike wants everyone to be involved, and hopes that everyone leaves with a panel, either a newbie with there very first work or old friends exchanging, or a panel jam piece.

I will be leaving Salem sometime on Friday in the afternoon

Posted by Jillbeans (Member # 1912) on :

Aye Aye Cap'n!
One batch of Male chocolate chips coming up!
And don't worry about everyone leaving with a panel.
Altho my panels are "quantity-versus-quality" I usually paint quite a few! I already owe 5 (well not really, I promised myself I'd make these)
Picking up Stevo tonight, got my mags made for our rental car, and looking forward to a road trip!
Now I just gotta get thru the rest of today!
See ya soon.
Love...Jill [Wink]
PS:
Edited to add:
And I think Stevo beats Mikey for length...Edmonton is farther away than Mazeppa)

Posted by Joe Rees (Member # 211) on :

Well I hate to say it but it's turning out to be more than likely I will not make it for the first time this year. Boohoo.

Our spring season on Cape Cod got a later than usual start and all timeframes are way too compressed. The next month are all long 7 day workweeks for us, plus we are moving into a new facility which is totally unorganized still. It's my own personal MAYHEM. If I was down there all I would be thinking about is going further into a black hole of scheduling conflicts. My heart wouldn't be into it.

While I regret missing out on the fun, what my heart really WILL be into is the excitement of organizing and optimizing this new shop. We have needed this for a loooong time. You guys take my fun and divvy it up ok.

Posted by mike meyer (Member # 542) on :

Looks like I gotta stay back like Joe Rees. I got too much to do, and too many customers mad. I gotta make people happy here including the book keeper, my wife. Sorry guys.
I'll send my Glass pieces for you play with.

My heart is there but I cannot be. If it were not so damn far away......
