I am back, yet, with another pondering question....
I have a Roland PC600 that I need to print a graphic that is 35 inches wide and 60 inches long. However, the printing width limitation of the pc600 is 20 inches, therfore I must split the graphic in two parts, each with a small overlap.
I am using Correll 10.0 on Windows XP2001, and for some reason or another I am unable to get the pc600 to print or cut longer than 32 inches in length. So, for longer jobs I export the Corell file to the Desktop as an EPS file and then drag it into the Roland ColorChoice RIP software. Here I am able to cut or print up to 600 inches in length, but I am limited to 20 inches in width.
Can I just drag the 35 inch graphic into ColorChoice and run it one way, then do it again with the graphic flipped around?? My guess is that this would not work....??
When I started in this business I learned on Gerber Graphix Advantage6.2.... In this program you just dragged out a dividing line and it split the larger graphics into however many pieces you chose to divide it into. I just can't figure out how to do it with the software that I have now....
If anybody can help me out with this one I would be very grateful!!

Craig, I do this for panelling large cut graphics all the time. It might work for you.
In Corel, duplicate the graphic and drag it sideways, while hoding down the ctrl key. This makes it move exactly horizontally.
Create a horizontal line at the point where you want the joint to be, and long enough to cover both graphics.
Use the line to trim the left graphic.
Move the line vertically down 1/4" and then use the line to trim the right graphic.
Discard the bottom half of the left graphic and the top half of the right graphic.
print/cut each and there will be a 1/8" overlap when assembled.
