On our last day at Disney World, Janette Balogh and David McDonald were kind enough to join Janis & I for a day of great fun.

Even though Janis & I live far away, it seems we knew the parks a little better than Dave & Nettie. In fact, they had never seen much of what we were able to share with them.

We parked their vehicle at the hotel and boarded Disney's great bus system to begin our whirlwind tour.

We chose to visit Animal Kingdom first because we knew of Janette's fondness for animals. I also suspected that the colors and creativity shown throughout that particular park would appeal to her as well.

In the brief hours we spent, we touched the tip of the proverbial iceburg as far as seeing what has been created there. I believe the few shows and rides we experienced whetted their appetites to return in the near future as well.

In the late afternoon we blasted over to a second park for a quick look there as well. Disney's MGM Movie studio was great fun too. We experienced the rush of the Tower of Terror and then settled in for the fantastic Fantasmic show.

And then we were off to the fabulous Wilderness Lodge for a relaxed dinner and great conversation. Our evening was capped off with some great ice cream treats at Disney Village.

It was a very full day... sensory overload with some of the most creative work in the world surrounding us at every turn.

The best part was sharing it with great friends!

Janis & I are looking forward to spending more time with these great folks on our next trip down this way!

It would be great fun to spend a day or two here with many other fellow letterheads in a sort of Around the 'World' Sign Discovery Meet. Each and every time I venture into a Disney (or other theme park) I find I learn a great deal, and more importantly rev up my creative engines for a long time to come! On top of that its great fun to continue being a grown up kid. It's time and money well spent in my book!

Yea, it's hard work, but somebody has to do it!

Being with those folks is a treat, no matter where you are.

Now, I have to go coat out some MDO.

I gotta laugh Dan, when I lived in Tampa, I never went to Disney, Sea World, etc. I did work at Bush Gardens, so, that doesn't count.
We take things for granted when they're relatively close by. I spent most of my life living in the New York area and I could probably count on 2 hands the number of times I've been to the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center, the Empire State Building and the other great sites the city has to offer.
I guess we all need to stop & smell the roses a little more often.

Havin' fun,

Checkers

Dan,

Nettie and I had a great time with you and Janis at Disney! Great company, great weather and a great place to spend the day. The attention to details at those parks is simply awesome.

You're right about us needing to "get out more". We'll be back real soon.

Thanks for spending the day with us.

Thank goodness for folks like Dan and Janis who can pry us Floridians out of our ruts and awaken us to the magic right here in our neighbourhood!

Dan and Janis were superb guides and we just had the time of our lives. hahahaaa... and to think we should have been the ones doing the guiding! Checkers, it's kind of shameful ... we are barely 2 hours away from the action too.

I'm still beaming from this past weekend, and I'm raring to get back.
We're already planning a return in March.
Dave got us discounted passes that give us numerous visits, so the next time, admission is free! [Smile]

I felt like a kid! Came out of several attractions saying "I wanna do that again!" [Smile]

So glad you gave us a ring Dan. We really enjoy you two. There's just nothing like sharing such an experience with folks that really "get it".

Nettie
