Hi Heads... With Steve's recent red thong baby photo, as well as Bill Riedel's wonderful portraiture, along with the recent "new additions" to the Letterville family, it occured to me that we could all post our baby pictures. So here goes!
This is me at about nine months. Notice the Catholic medallion! And the bald head. Mom used to tape bows on it. Love- JILL

Jill, This is the only one I could find right now. Its a little out of focus but please note the hair. I was always wearing ribbons or bows.

Okay, here's one before my mom had my hair hacked off. Spent most of my youth with a pixie haircut, and always wanting long hair!

Most of you will probably recognize the guy in the picture with me... He had just turned 21.

Well...I have this most excellent picture that I wish to share. However, it is in a file in my computer--how do I make it magically appear here? Without me breaking any furniture, that is...usually there is a "browse" icon that I can work through, but not here. Help?

I only have a few photos handy, but checked through them & found the perfect one. My resident pic at the left is from my brothers wedding & one of the 5 or 6 times I've worn a tie in my adult life ('cept that I wear it here every day )
...so this one's funny to me because I'm dressed for Letterville!

What some cuties ya'll were!! Jillbeans babe,I got yer IM 73 times, LOL ... I would love to post a pic for you here but I still can't find that little slot on this screen anywhere that will allow me to slid it in there, lol...so Mike don't feel bad! I reckon I'd have to snail mail it to ya an' by then this treat will be in the archives of kee-razy things done in letterville.
An' Jill, in your'e cute pic you look as if you were sayin': "YOU MEAN I'M GONNA BE A SIGN PAINTER SOON?!!"

I'm back! This time around Baby Steve is experiencing his first hot tub party. That gorgeous lady doing all the rubbin' and scrubin' is my Mom Shirley. She lives with her Husband Joe, in Kitchener, Ontario. That's only about 40 minutes away from Fergus.
Can I ask all of you to do me favour? I'm sure Mom would be thrilled to get an e-mail from all our pals here in Letterville. Drop her a line and tell her where you live and what the weather is like. Mention what a wonderful Son she has. Nothin' wrong with a little white lie.
Her name is Shirley and her email address is sgriffith8011@rogers.com Posted by Cheryl Lucas (Member # 1656) on :
Thanks Jill, for starting this thread, I've got a chuckle this morning, seeing these cute pics...
Mike, your WaaWaa pic is too funny and brings back a memory; Several years back, my Mom put together a 'This is YOUR LIFE' photo album, which she gave to me as a Birthday gift. After seeing 'my life' in the photographs, I had one question for her: Why didn't you ever take me to the Sears store to have professional photographs taken of me? Ha! (all of my friends Mom's had done this) She said, she tried several times and I put up such a fuss, squallin', that she wasn't going to pay to see that! In hindsight, she says, she wishes she would have... If for nothing else, but to show me what a 'pill' I was... LOL
Here's a rather 'domestic' shot of me, as a child:

Cheryl... I am SO jealous! YOU had the Susie Homemaker kitchen set! Isn't it funny how sexist the toys used to be before Women's Lib came along? We had a photographer come to the house I think...Mom & Dad woulda never taken all 7 of us down town to Sears! And she made 1 baby book for my oldest sister, Connie. The rest of us are mere measles/mumps notations on the back page. Marty Happy sent me an ADORABLE pic, and it is too big to post! I am glad this thread was revived during the night! Love- JILL

Jill,
LOL, I loved the Easy Bake Oven! Baked my very first cakes, using a 100 watt light bulb! Imagine that... Today, I don't even own an iron! LOL

Here is Marty Happy's baby picture and his comments...Thanks Lotti for re-sizing!
quote:here's my fav baby picture if I can impose on you to post it for me...... The story........ the wolf was shot by my uncle near the farmyard I grew up on. My dad propped it's frozen carcass against the tractor and gave me a rifle to lean on for the photo. Notice that I was partial to cowboy hats even back then!(LOL)
Wasn't Marty a cutie? Love- JILL

**Ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh** I broke out in a c-c-cold sweat - afraid to scroll down -- but Thank GOODness the Red Thong it outta site in this thread!
Re: my crybaby pic - I had to search through a pile of Matthew Bradys to find one that good, my photo history is like reading a Calvin cartoon book, with me making goofy faces, ruining film. Mom must have been So Proud! Ha ha . I have a kid pic of my cousin Mary Ann on a pinto pony - and one of me on the same pony 9 years later! Tough to decide which to use - should I send in the one taken just before I fell off the trike? Or where I thought the cat would like to take a bath? Hmmm... me & Peter Pan -- we'll NEVER grow up!
This is a fun thread, Jill - good choice.

I guess it was destiny that I would become a badass. I started very young at everything.
Here I am at the age of two doing what I loved best. Drinking good whiskey and smoking good cigars. I was hell on wheels back then and still am today. All I had to do was see a nice pair of boobs and I would pounce on them. I still get the urge to this day.
The things you could get away with as a baby!

I need to send someone my baby pics as there weren't as many as my older siblings, and that's because by the fourth kid, they could hardly afford pix! But, this is a great post, will have to get with the program. Jill, you're right, there were play ironing boards and irons, and my sis had one. I was just wondering since we weren't normal was it okay that I ironed my long hair in twirls to make curls? But I stilled played with my brother's boats and trucks! hooray, I'm okay still. oooo whaaa laaa, some cutie pix you guys are. Hey was that booze in the one pic used for teething?
Posted by Kimberly Zanetti (Member # 2546) on :
Hey Bob, Here's another boozing kid. This picture is from when Sam was a couple of months old. That's a regular size beer can so you can see how tiny she was.

Bob, I always thought that the next time I was in Zepherhills, that I would stop in. Now I'm not too sure.

Me at 3 months & then nearly 6 years.
Isn't it funny how the cuteness comes, then fades fast with age, grey hair & middle-age-spread!
Good thread though, Jill! Tim- nice smile: you could make some money out of it if you market it properly!
