Stumbled onto this page this morning. Kinda cool to have the world's largest library sitting on your desk, isn't it?
It's all a matter of individual taste, but to me, the work is very well done. The reason I'm posting is to share the tutorials that Ms.Dinger offers a link to at the bottom of the page.

Good finishing schtuff, but am I the only one who sees some basic anatomy problems??
Posted by Don Coplen (Member # 127) on :
You're right, Pierre. Everybody please disregard the above site referral.

You're a real piece of work sometimes, Don. You don't see any anatomical problems at all, then that's all I need to know. The field is yours, sir.

Please???? for those like myself who are not in the "artist League" what are some of the anatomical problems?
Posted by Doug Allan (Member # 2247) on :
well, the one ladies nose looks more like a gasmask... & the one-eyed newt seems to only have one eye
other then that... I am impressed, & have bookmarked the tutorial page.

Nope. It probably doesn't matter. I'm an illustrator, so I might be unfairly critiqueing someone else's work. Its a bad habit of mine, but I'd like to hear from any other illustrator with the guts to make a statement. Anatomical correctness is expected from someone with a website and offering illustrations for sale. You airbrush artists must have an opinion too.

I'm just learning so I would like the possible problems pointed out. The eye's are set half way up and one width apart. The nose sides stop under the inside edge of the eyes. The mouth sides stop under the center of the eyes. The face looks a little long, I don't know why? As I type this I can't remember where the ears are at. This work is better than I can produce, but I would like to learn for it,if someone can point to something to make it better.

Ok, ok. I'm busy at the studio right now, but I'll come on later today and offer my BFIMHO on the anatomical problems I can see. You other actual illustrators are laying low on this one, aren't you. Discretion, valour and all that? Just having your schtuff on a website doesn't make you a compleat illustrator. Compleat?? Look it up)

I personally feel theres some well above average art here, the anatomy is fine, thanx don for the post. some "illustrators" shouldn't be allowed to say they are.

Oh No NOT Again 10 million "beholders" 1 in the eyes of..... ART? RIGHT? DAY? EVIL?
I disagree with people that disagree

I for one am appreciative for Don to find the art, and for Pierre to learn extra info from. What's up with the agree/disagree factor, to post or not to post? Nothing wrong with learning!
Wish LazyEdna were also here to critique.
Whenever you have time Pierre, I'm a willing and ready student.

Sorry. Super busy today and I'm on a break from a recording session. I'll do it in the am early. Don, that's why we're all here. To teach, learn, critique and accept it all with humility no matter WHO we are. Including me. John D., go to my website. If I'm not an illustrator, then tell me. DO I belong here? I dunno. Take a vote, bud. Take a vote. See you in the am, Donna.

You're going to have to wait a while. Dad has fallen ill. He got very sick during a recording session yesterday evening. I hope it's not that flu! That really scares me. He's always so strong and he doesn't look good right now.
Anyway Happy New Years. Its not very happy here tonight.

I see Little Miss has been in here. Sorry, Don, Ed and Donna. I'm a bit rough this morning. Just got up for more TheraFlu. I'll try to do this this evening when I can actually focus my old, critiqueing eyes. Happy New Year.
