It has come to my attention that I am not being aggressive enough in promoting our meet, The Bayou City Bash, January 16-18 in Pasadena TX, so here I am taking advantage of this great board to remind everyone they simply must attend our event! (This is the most aggressive smiley face they have, looks kinda mad don't he?)
You want to have a good time don't ya? You now you do! And it will probably be warmer here than anywhere up north, you like warmer don't ya? You like great BBQ and Mexican food don't ya? Never mind all the great tips and talent you will see at work at the event, or the great door prizes, think of all the fantastic scenery you will see in beautiful Pasadena Tx (for those of you unfamiliar with our lovely town that last comment is dripping in sarcasm!)
So please, please, please come to our event, it just won't be the same with out you!
Thanks JoAnna

JoAnna, I had to miss Raymond Chapman's meet. If I miss another, especially yours, I'm "Gonna Need A Little Help From My Friends". Ya know, like get well cards and flowers when the guys in the white coats take me away.
I know this is going to be special and a real Hoot!

Actually, we had friends in from Raleigh last year. Took them to Kemah Boardwalk, Moody Gardens, the Seawall, ect. Know what they were most impressed with? Comin' home on 225 at night. All them plants all lit up, burnin' flares an belchin' steam were "really cool." If I had known they were gonna like that, I woulda arranged for one of the bi-weekly plant explosions to be that night.

You know,I had forgotten just how pretty all those plants were at night! I finally have the online registration page up on our site, so you can preregister by credit card, check or paypal. Hope to see all of you there!

So Darrell, are you taking the Letterheads for a P.M. tour of Baytown?
Posted by Darrell Giese (Member # 768) on :
I'm tryin' real hard to think of a place in Baytown that's worth seein'. (It's only marginally better than Pasa-GetDown-dena.) My recommendation would be we go take over the Cadillac Bar at Kemah and save fuel...

JoAnna, I'm already camped out on the outskirts of Houston. I'm surprized about the lack of interest on the Letterhead board. From other indications there will be a good crowd of stripers and paint slingers from around the country.
I'm sure most Letterheads will fondly remember Pasadena as the setting for John Travolta's movie "Urbane Cowpoke" recently seen on cable TV.
Kathy, I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

This is by far the one meet I'm sorry to miss.

Sorry JoAnna...I know I told you we'd be there...January is usually our slowest time of the year...til this year...we are swamped and just have to stay here and make hay.
Gonna miss you...please tell everyone hello.
We're really sad we're not coming ...Pat needs an ocean fix and was counting on this meet to give it to her.
Have a great time and good wishes for the meet!

Hi Joanna,
Sorry I can't make it!! I always make this meet at Joey's and I would love to make yours, but the cash is just not here this year. I had the best Decenmber I've ever had last month, but the bottom fell out this month. Tell everyone hello for me and I'm gonna be waitin to hear about all the goings on.
See ya, R.T.

I wasn't able to attend the closing morning of the Bayou Brush Bash, so I said bid farwells last night. Wish all who drive near and far a safe trip. Met some great Texas people Mark and Ray, as well those who endured longer drives from New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas and from as far north as Wisconsen. As usual, JoAnna and Robert Nouis should be congratulated for providing outstanding support for the Pinhead and Letterhead Movements. They undertook the task of hosting this bash. In doing so provided an excellent, friendly atmosphere for an event, that you will soon be hearing much about. Thanks also go to the family and friends of the Nouis's for their support and good cheer, and for their hard work.

Like Santo, I want to thank JoAnna and Robert for a wonderful weekend at the Bayou City Bash. Kudos to you and your family for one heck of a great meet.
What a blast it was to hang with about 50 talented and special friends that share their love of the craft. Thanks to all of you for your enthusiasm and pumping this 'ol signpainter up.
Now I'm looking forward to Fred's "Sasekalahewata" meet in Oklahoma in March. (Yeah, you tell me how to say it)

My sincerest Thank You's To JoAnna And Robert Nouise for hosting a fantastic, spirit lifting event.
The past year has been bad at best and this event brought forth more enthusiasim and motivation than money could ever buy, thanks for rekindling the fires within and waking up the desires to be associated with some of the finest artist and humans on the planet again.
The Heart of the Lion Award goes to Santos. It was a pleasure to see and watch the True letterhead spirit at work. Santos jump straight in the water and was willing to learn and try his hand at many projects, I wish you all the luck and success in future endeavors.
Thanks to all who attended it was without a doubt the best time to be had, And all who missed, better put this one on your calender next year.
Sincerely,
Magic

I knew I would regret missing this one. I went to the Swampland Jam at Joey Hutson's last year and it was great.
Ray, I was really wanting to see you and Old Trav but I was just too busy to get away. I'll see you guys at Fred's in March.
