Patent because it's much more economical (less waste) and I can push it onto the size and therefore wait for a higher tack.



Enough gold tears away from the edges so that I can use a brush to press the loose stuff into the "V" with a brush...




Here it is being pressed on the narrow section on the seven.......

Then brushed in (or out as you may)....





If I need more pressure from the brush, I just use my fingers to press the hairs together which gives me a much firmer "pad".



Sometimes it's difficult to see any holidays because of the reflections. I hold a sheet of backing paper between the job and the light which diffuses the light and I can see the gild clearly.
