Hi there! We're Monte & Pat Jumper from Norman, Oklahoma. We came to Oklahoma from Denver in 1981 and in 1985 we started a sign company called SIGNLanguage. Our last $47 and hunger was all the incentive we had to succeed. Thirteen years later, we have $35.42 and plenty of incentive to get on carrying on.
We have 3000 sq.ft. and specialize in doing as we please. (I wish) We are a custom sign shop and have no retail signage in stock. Pat does all the silk screen work and most of the vinyl work. We both do layouts and design work, both by hand and by computer. I do all the construction work, prep and hand lettering.
We stay pretty busy year round doing real estate work, small bulletins, banners, vehicles, and windows. I especially like doing sandblasted redwood signage. I love gold leaf projects and my all time favorite is hand lettering open wheel race cars (sprints midgets etc.) Pat likes doing the convention sign projects and particularly enjoys being the resident computer expert. She is also the calming force in my life. I on the other hand, am responsible for maintaining a certain level of turmoil. We're together 24 hours a day 365 days a year and we still have a sense of humor. I've only been sent home once.
We love to golf ,sail,and shoot pool and have 1.75 dogs "Rowdey" & "Shorty" and a solid black cat named "Spot" (he walked under the bench one day when I was lettering with white.)
Norman Oklahoma is on Hiway I-35 , easy off and easy on. For those of you that would like to stop and say HI! on the way through...we're good for a free cup of coffee and you're always welcome.(Bring yer brushes, NOT!)
We've been to several Letterheads and really enjoy the BB format and the Chat Pals. Thanks to everyone for the comraderie, talent and knowledge. Watch for our web page. We're working it out in our heads as we speak!
